Alarmed
that our children have been the target of confusing and provocative
messages about sexuality and that more teens are engaging in risk taking
behavior like drugs, alcohol, sex and smoking at younger and younger
ages, professionals in the disciplines of medicine, education and
business came together to form a non profit grassroots agency to alter
the paradigm of trying to change consequences rather than trying to
change behavior. The WAIT Training organization was formed in 2001 after
several years of working in the abstinence and marriage education

The Institute on Domestic Violence in
the African American Community (IDVAAC)
is an organization focused on the unique circumstances of African
Americans as they face issues related to domestic violence – including
intimate partner violence, child abuse, elder maltreatment, and
community violence. |

A diverse group of people who are
concerned about the issues of domestic violence in families and in all
human relationships and the response of the Black Church. We believe in
the Church's mission to improve the quality of life and recognize the
linkages of violence to all social problems in the history of Black
